Controller

Job Summary:
A fast-growing and dynamic industrial processing company based in Elgin, IL, where we have a strong existing culture where employees are valued and encouraged to grow, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Controller to play a key role in our continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
The Controller will oversee all aspects of accounting and finance, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting. They will prepare monthly and annual financial statements and analyze financial data to prepare reports for management.
This role will also involve assisting with our banking relationship and ensuring compliance with financial obligations.
The Controller will supervise our office staff, ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations, and participate in special projects as needed.
They will also be responsible for benefits administration, managing employee benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, and ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in accounting is required, with a CPA preferred. We seek a highly motivated individual with 8 years of experience in accounting, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team and has strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and manufacturing industry accounting practices is essential and proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, ERP systems) is required.
