Position Overview
Our client is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Controller to manage the financial operations of the organization. This is a key managerial role for someone with strong technical expertise who can execute effectively while working within the framework of the EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System). The Controller will oversee daily financial operations, implement processes for financial accountability, and support data-driven decision-making. The candidate should be capable of contributing to L10 meetings and managing financial priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities

Financial Management
- Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Ensure accurate preparation of financial statements, adhering to GAAP and organizational policies.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analyses and actionable insights.
- Monitor and improve cash flow management to support operational needs and growth plans.
Accounts Receivable Management
- Responsible for overseeing and managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collections.
- Work closely with the revenue cycle management team but will not manage revenue cycle operations.
- Address and reduce outstanding accounts receivable by implementing best practices for collections.
Process Improvement
- Implement and refine financial controls, accrual processes, and reporting systems to support scalability and accountability.
- Work with external advisors to evaluate payroll and practice management systems, optimizing financial processes and reporting accuracy.
Team Management
- Supervise and mentor a small finance team, including an offshore bookkeeper.
- Ensure the team delivers timely and accurate financial reporting and operations.
Collaboration
- Partner with the COO and leadership team to align financial operations with organizational goals.
- Participate in EOS L10 meetings to contribute financial insights and updates on key metrics.
Systems and Tools
- Leverage QuickBooks Online (QBO), Central Reach, and Power BI to provide meaningful financial reports and dashboards for leadership.
- Evaluate opportunities to enhance the use of current tools for improved efficiency and visibility into financial performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA is a plus.
- 7 years of experience in financial management, preferably in healthcare or service-based industries.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Power BI, and practice management systems such as Central Reach.
- Demonstrated experience managing accounts receivable, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) and the ability to contribute in L10 meetings.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a hands-on approach.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $135,000
