Basic Job Functions:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting financial analysis, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate month-end accounting. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports to management.
Month-End Accounting:
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.
- Review and analyze financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with other departments to gather and analyze financial data.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives.
- Assist in audits and compliance activities as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field
- Demonstrated advanced Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. Vlookups, Pivots, Sumifs)
- Three years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
