What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Trader - Buy Side position at Confidential?
We are presently advising a prominent asset manager on a key hire into their US credit trading team. Our client has an exceptionally strong reputation in the leveraged credit and special situations markets and are seeking to continue adding to their highly regarded team in New York.
The ideal candidate will have been able to gain experience executing trades across credit strategies including high yield bonds, stressed/distressed debt, loans, reorg equity, etc. This opportunity will therefore suit a talented credit trader that is able to demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrable experience in a credit trading seat within a similar asset manager or credit fund
- Proven experience in executing trades across the capital structure and across products (cash and CDS)
- An ability to liaise with analysis/research teams as well as portfolio managers to work collaboratively on analyzing and executing trades
- Strong communication skills when interacting with internal team members and external counterparts (i.e. credit sales & trading desks, etc.)
Whilst our client will be seeking a candidate with at least 6 years’ experience that is able to demonstrate the above criteria, they are keen not to discount candidates that have been able to develop their skills in a similar bank credit trading seat or indeed, a leveraged credit research/analysis or sales role. This is again an excellent opportunity for a driven and talented credit trading professional to join a well established and top-performing team.
Salary : $175,000 - $250,000
