Job Description - Customer Service Representative
The Customer Service Representative is dedicated to creating unparalleled customer experiences through accurate order processing, effective issue resolution, and knowledgeable response to inquiries. The successful candidate is able to work in a fast-paced environment, effectively balance customer requests and deadlines, enter data quickly and accurately, and build lasting positive relationships with customers and team members in order to provide exceptional service and deliver outstanding results.
Schedule: In office (not remote) Sunday – Thursday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Wages: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
Essential Functions
· Assist customers and company sales representatives through incoming calls, email, electronic data submissions and postal mail communication
· Process customer orders and credits including data entry and accuracy review.
· Create and maintain documentation and reports to ensure the smooth flow of communication to various departments
· Build lasting customer relationships through positive communication and resolution of concerns
· Leverage knowledge of sales, logistics, and available products to provide reliable service and meet customer requirements
· Review exception reports and resolve issues and discrepancies prior to order processing
· Proactively recommend add-ons and utilize a variety of available sales tools to enhance customer orders and drive increased account profitability
· Adhere to designated timelines for multiple daily interdepartmental tasks
· Submit information to Accounting for timely credit processing
· Partner with the Sales and Transportation teams to coordinate delivery and customer support
· Resolve processing, shipping, and order conflicts; troubleshoot customer and driver concerns in order to meet service requirements
· Engage in customer support tasks as needed including distribution of monthly price change tags and notices to customers
· Seamlessly handle numerous and varied daily tasks
· Perform additional job duties as required
Requirements and Qualifications
· Associate degree preferred or equivalent level of education and related experience
· At least two (2 ) years of experience in a customer service role
· Proven customer service skills and a proactive approach to problem solving
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Strong data entry skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Established time management skills and demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines
· Ability to adapt and manage numerous, competing priorities
· Excellent collaboration, active listening, and interpersonal skills
