Responsibilities

- Review account details to determine the appropriate collection strategy for each case.
- Utilize accounting software to track payments, update account statuses, and document communications.
- Work closely with the revenue cycle management team to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate billing.
- Maintain knowledge of collections terminology and financial concepts relevant to debt collection in the healthcare industry.
- Follow up on payment arrangements and negotiate settlements when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding debt collection practices.
- Provide excellent phone etiquette while communicating with clients to foster positive relationships.
Experience
- Previous experience in accounts receivable or debt collection is preferred.
- Familiarity with telemarketing techniques and customer service best practices is a plus.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and understanding debits and credits is essential.
