Ultimately, a top-performing Dental Receptionist will perform all duties in a manner that ensures the efficient running of the dental practice.
Dental Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Warmly greeting patients upon arrival and updating all appropriate forms
- Maintaining the appearance and order of the dental office to include patient scheduling and management
- Presenting treatment plans by going over services recommended and explaining out-of-pocket costs to the patients
- Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed.
- Keeping the providers schedules full by reaching out to patients via phone, email or text
- Managing office email and automated communication system
- Communicating with dental insurance providers to follow up on claims not paid.
- Collecting patient co-pays.
- Working on accounts receivable reports and collections reporting.
- Ensure that each patient has a wonderful patient experience from the time they arrive for their appointment to the time they leave.
