About the Role
The institution is looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Enterprise Applications and Services. This pivotal IT leadership position will shape the strategic direction of various IT divisional units, oversee budgets, and ensure the highest levels of performance, quality, and results across these units. The ideal candidate will adopt a hands-on approach to technical project leadership and problem resolution while enhancing the technical and procedural capabilities of the EAS teams. Key responsibilities include managing staff, overseeing systems, environments, and vendor partnerships, as well as directing system and web development, database administration, and support resources.
Collaboration with the Office of the CIO, participation in IT Division management, and advocacy for IT services within the college will be integral to this role. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in application development and at least 5 years in the higher education sector. Candidates should possess extensive knowledge of large-scale ERP systems, specifically within higher education.
This role demands excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking abilities. The successful Executive Director will have a robust background in system and web development, with proficiency in PL / SQL, Java, and Groovy / Grails, along with a proven track record in database technologies such as Oracle and MS SQL Server. We seek a versatile leader who can also act as a systems engineer when necessary and adeptly manage and guide technical teams to deliver exceptional results.
