About the Role
The Company is actively looking for a dynamic Director of Facilities Management to lead our facilities strategy across multiple campuses. This essential role includes developing a comprehensive master plan for space utilization and overseeing all facilities operations, ensuring they align with our mission to provide an exceptional educational environment. You will be in charge of budget management, construction projects, maintenance, safety, and security protocols.
As the Director, you will :
Shape and implement strategic facilities operations and capital plans
Oversee departmental budgets and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
Be on call for any emergencies
Advocate for customer service excellence while maintaining a collaborative atmosphere
Support staff development and training initiatives
Coordinate with various institutional divisions to address the college community's needs
This position requires :
A Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
A minimum of 7 years of operational supervisory experience in a relevant field
Expertise in forecasting, project management, and long-term planning
Strong knowledge of construction practices, OSHA laws, ADA, and safety regulations
Experience with collective bargaining is preferred
Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills to foster an inclusive working environment
The hiring manager for this position is the Vice President, Community Impact and Advancement, and the role may require less than 10% travel.
