What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Facilities position at Confidential?
Directs, plans and oversees custodial, grounds and maintenance operations for
work site; including buildings, and oversight of a
workforce of employees. Oversees
work by directing the activities of Supervisors, who in turn assign and
monitor work of assigned staff, with the goal of
sustaining a safe, comfortable, functional and clean
environment for building occupants and reliable and
cost effective custodial services for the client. This
position reports to the Regional Director.
Unique Duties
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Direct overall operations by providing
strategic leadership and operational expertise. Adhere
to company guidelines; recommend changes of policy
and procedures, management of staff performance.
Monitor, review and approve departmental expenditures.
Interpret customer priorities and allocate department
resources. Establish equipment needs, capital requests
and utilize supervisory ranks to maintain resources in a
responsible manner.
Responsible for administering and
overseeing employee discipline. Monitor compliance with
company policy and procedures.
Maintain sufficient staffing levels of department within
constraints of operating budget. Utilize diverse labor
sources. Develop assignments and scheduled activity for employees
within area of responsibility. Work with senior
leadership to develop an organizational structure
appropriate to consistently meet service level
agreement expectations.
Provide overall leadership and direction to staff. Set expectations & focus, assign duties, delegate responsibilities, evaluate activities, prepare performance appraisals & professional development plans. Provide coaching, mentoring and teaching. Manage the administrative process for assigned staff including hiring, promotions, terminations, disciplinary procedures, and and salary adjustments. Provide ongoing performance feedback, goal setting, and development plans for staff. Plan for future staffing needs. Provide timely communications to staff.
Provide excellent customer service to the customer by demonstrating collaboration and effective communication. Continuously improve the quality and delivery of services provided by motivating and empowering employees, implementing new technology and revising processes and procedures to improve individual and team effectiveness.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
