What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Human Resources position at Confidential?
We are looking for a strategic and experienced Director of Human Resources. Restaurant industry experience is a plus.
To be successful, you will need a solid and broad-based working knowledge of the following areas: Strategic HR Planning; Talent Lifecycle (Acquisition, Training, Development, Management and Offboarding); Employee Relations/Engagement; Performance Management; Compensation & Benefits; Health & Safety Programs; Employment Law and Regulations; HR Compliance, HR Technology and Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with company goals.
- Analyze and forecast staffing supply/demand to ensure the company always has the right people for all roles in a fast-growing business.
- Lead the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, and onboarding for all levels of staff
- Create and manage training and development programs for employee growth.
- Implement performance review processes, set performance goals, and provide feedback to employees.
- Lead payroll, compensation and benefits practices; recommending and implementing policies, procedures, tools and systems to support employee activity.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable employment laws and regulations, including labor laws, EEO guidelines, and safety standards.
- Lead and manage the HR team, providing coaching and mentoring to HR staff.
- Develop a Management Talent Pipeline Program and identify higher-level talent to build the next generation of managers/leaders.
- Communicate with General Managers (GMs) and Training Managers on current and new policies, processes, deadlines etc...
- Develop and oversee corporate Human Resource metrics and KPI’s
- Maintain/Update Employee Handbook and ensure compliance with its policies
Qualifications:
- Extensive HR experience, including talent lifecycle, employee relations, designing/implementing training and development programs.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of labor regulations, employment laws, and compliance requirements to ensure business practices are ethical and legal.
- Proficiency in HRIS, LMS, and other HR software/technology.
- SHRM-SCP Certification is highly desirable.
- At least 10 years of progressive HR experience, and 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
- The ability to manage conflicts, disputes, and grievances while maintaining a positive and harmonious work environment.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; Masters degree preferred.
