About the Role
The university is actively seeking a Director of Information Technology to spearhead the management and strategic alignment of our information technology infrastructure and operations. This influential role is essential for enhancing academic operations through innovative technology solutions.
The successful candidate will :
- Oversee enterprise applications, IT project management, systems and network technology, the Technology Services Center, and information security.
- Work closely with university leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with the university's mission.
- Lead and manage a large IT team, focusing on cybersecurity and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Engage with stakeholders to thoroughly understand and meet their technology needs.
Qualifications include a Master’s or advanced degree in computer science, engineering, or business, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT field, including at least 5 years in a management role. Strong proficiency in technology support, applications, data management, systems, networks, and information security is required. Candidates should possess exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a solid understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in higher education and instructional technology.
