An established Pittsburgh Restaurant Brand is looking for a Director of IT. This role ensures that the IT department is aligned with the business objectives of the organization while implementing technology roadmaps. The Director will budget, plan, coordinate, supervise, and design IT related activities for the brand. They provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Leads internal support and development resources for all technology systems.
2. Provides technical guidance counsel, and direction while collaborating with Leadership Team in designing technical systems.
3. Defines and implements IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
4. Leads the IT department’s operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing & negotiating the allocation of resources.
5. Directs the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including telecommunications, servers, PC’s, operating systems, hardware, software, peripherals, and office automation equipment.
6. Benchmarks, analyzes, reports on, and makes recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems. Keeps current with latest technologies.
7. Oversees financial aspects of the IT department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review. Develops business case justifications for IT spending and initiatives.
8. Serves as a point of escalation for technical issues.
9. Trains, instructs, and educates groups and individuals in a team environment.
10. Leads the company in cybersecurity & PCI compliance.
11. Handles multiple project responsibilities simultaneously to prioritize work and department needs.
12. Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
1. Strong technical acumen; 3-5 years of Director level information technology experience preferred to include: Restaurant or Point of Sale Software System, Web server design and creation experience.
2. Troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 7-8, Apple OS X, Apple iOS, Microsoft Office, UNIX experience, SharePoint and Office 365 administration
3. Bachelor’s Degree required or 3-5 years of related, relevant technical and network experience, or computer science related.
4. In-depth knowledge of technologies that support HR, Training, Finance/Accounting, Legal, Restaurant Development/Construction, and Payroll.
5. Extensive experience leading and managing cross-functional teams.
6. Operates in a clerical office setting while routinely using all standard office equipment.
7. Sedentary role with some filing, lifting, bending, as appropriate within office.
8. Highly active role while in restaurants, with standing, walking, lifting, bending, being prevalent.
9. Travel required, up to 25% as needed.
10. Multiple direct reports.
11. Hospitality experience a plus.
