Position Overview
A Private Equity industrial portfolio company is seeking a Director of Strategic Development to work directly with platform leadership to analyze company and market performance, develop and communicate strategic initiatives, and assist with M&A integration. This Private Equity-backed platform is focused on installation, repair, and maintenance services for residential and commercial space. This dynamic role is ideal for someone with a strong management consulting background, experience in financial consulting or investment relations (IR), and a solid foundation in M&A. The successful candidate will bring strong analytical skills, the ability to support strategy development, and hands-on expertise in operating process improvement and acquisition integration. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership, providing critical support for business growth initiatives, corporate presentations, and investor relations marketing materials.
Key Responsibilities
· Strategic & Financial Analysis
Provide deep analytical insights by utilizing advanced analytics platforms to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
o Support the development of financial models and perform data-driven evaluations to guide business decisions
· Strategy Development & Support
o Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with business objectives
o Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and benchmarking to support strategic planning processes
· Operating Process Support
o Partner with operations teams to review, refine, and improve business processes across the organization
o Implement process optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
· Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Integration Support
o Assist in the integration of newly acquired businesses, ensuring alignment with existing operations and seamless transitions
o Provide ongoing analysis and support to capture synergies and optimize post-acquisition performance.
· Corporate Presentation & IR Marketing Development
o Develop high-quality corporate presentations, reports, and investor relations (IR) marketing materials that effectively communicate company strategy, financial performance, and growth prospects
o Collaborate with senior management to prepare materials for investor meetings, conferences, and other corporate events
Required Qualifications & Experience
· Consulting Background
o 4 to 7 years of experience in management consulting, ideally with exposure to strategy development, operational improvement, and M&A integration for the manufacturing or industrial industry
o Prior experience with top consulting firms (e.g., KPMG, Deloitte, PwC) or in financial advisory/M&A groups preferred with a focus on industrial companies
· Analytics & Financial Acumen
o Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret data, perform financial analysis, and create actionable insights
o Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and analytics tools or platforms
· Strategy & Operations Support
o Proven experience supporting business strategy development and operational execution
o Ability to work cross-functionally to drive operational improvements and ensure alignment with strategic goals
· Acquisition Integration
o Hands-on experience supporting the integration of acquisitions, including process alignment, financial tracking, and performance optimization
· Corporate Communications
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating corporate presentations, reports, and investor relations materials
o Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and other presentation design tools
Education Requirements / Key Skills & Competencies
· Bachelor’s Degree
· An MBA or advanced degree is preferred, but not required
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Collaborative team player with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
Salary : $125,000 - $165,000
