Position Responsibilities
Reporting to a Senior Partner, the candidate will work closely with colleagues to understand and learn about the intricacies of this specialized commodities business.
Working alongside senior professionals in the business, the candidate will be introduced to communicating with long standing clients while simultaneously learning about the business from experts in the first year.
Once candidate understands the business, he/she will establish and pursue leads for potential new business generation.
International and Domestic Financial Market Analysis. Must understand financial markets and have a solid understanding of how financial markets work and its economic business impact, in general. It will be essential he/she is interested in understanding the trends and history of how financial markets impact this commodities business, as well as the industry.
Candidate should appreciate and, in general, understand the economics of production, logistics, distribution, and consumption of goods. They do not have to be an expert but should be able to comprehend and articulate their thoughts on the subject and demonstrate that they have the aptitude in some form or another.
Financial acumen is extremely important. Should be comfortable working with numbers while at the same time, exhibit good intercommunication skills both internally and externally.
Strong technical skills and ability to use various business databases.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
The candidate should have the willingness, desire and aptitude to learn about the specifics of a specialized commodities business, both from an operational and marketing standpoint. Strong and sharp business mind is essential to not only learn this business, but to then become successful within the business.
There will be some domestic and international travel during the year.
Visit with customers/clients at their office once a year or every other year.
Qualifications
An undergraduate degree in Business, Economics or
Financial degree will be helpful. An MBA is preferred, particularly if undergraduate degree is a Liberal Arts Degree.

Travel is required.
Compensation
There is a base salary, as well as a bonus, which is subjective.
