What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher position at Confidential?
Savannah, GA based drayage company seeks experienced, self-motivated, organized individual with a minimum of 3 years dispatch experience to oversee 35-40 local drivers.
PRIMARY DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Organize and plan daily shift work loads.
- Payroll approvals and submission to office manager
- Dispatch drivers, trouble shoot terminals and delivery issues.
- Focus on driver productivity, safety, and labor efficiency.
- Maintain accurate DOT driver safety logs and oversight.
- Provide excellent proactive customer service and email communication.
- Appointment scheduling with terminal(s) and customer deliveries
Requirements:
- 3 Years Port Dispatch Experience
- High School Diploma
- Associates degree a plus
- Ability to multitask
- Formidable team building skills and driver relationship skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Qualcomm experience a plus
- Any TMS experience a plus
