District Manager
Reports to: Director of Operations
The District Manager provides overall leadership, coaching, and supervision to approximately 8-10 restaurants, ensuring that each Restaurant General Manager (RGM) meets or exceeds the Annual Operating Plan. They train, develop, and manage restaurant management teams while establishing and maintaining company standards in guest service, food safety, and facility maintenance. Additionally, the DM supports RGMs through servant leadership, actively coaching and directing managers, setting performance targets, and maintaining company standards. They allocate budgets, introduce new products and initiatives, select, train, and motivate managerial employees, occasionally performing hands-on operational work as necessary.
Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
· Review restaurant dashboard results and progress on restaurant goals, including staffing, service, and financial goals.
· Review schedules and projections to ensure each restaurant has a plan to grow sales, while balancing labor costs.
· Ensure all restaurants are fully staffed and teams are properly trained in all systems and procedures.
· Provides day-to-day coaching and direction to RGMs, Assistant Managers and Shift Managers, while modeling the right competencies for the job
· Maintains store-specific performance targets in Guest Satisfaction, OPI, REV, Health and Safety Inspections, etc. Coaches store management to increase proficiency in all areas.
· Builds and promotes a strong bench of talented restaurant leaders through training and development, performance management, and effective hiring.
· Leads recognition efforts within market, including developing and maintaining an employee-oriented and customer-focused store culture emphasizing collaboration, teamwork and process improvements.
· Travels throughout the market on scheduled and unscheduled visits to restaurants, to conduct audits, understand the guest experience, and ensure all restaurants are consistently ready for third party inspections. Coach managers on how to improve and maintain the highest quality standards.
· Understands the financial aspects of restaurant management, including inventory and labor costs.
· Analyzes financial performance and trends. Impart financial knowledge to store managers, while creating a strategy to grow the business.
· Coaches’ teams on ways to drive sales and maximize profitability.
· Perform other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required, assigned, and directed.
What Will Make You Successful:
· BS Degree in Hospitality, Management or related discipline or equivalent restaurant management experience, preferably in the brands operates.
· Associates or Undergraduate degree or equivalent Food & Beverage industry experience.
· 6-8 years supervisory experience in either a food service or retail environment.
· Thorough knowledge of Food & Beverage performance metrics, product specifications and management systems.
· Technically proficient in all aspects of food preparation, production, and delivery. Displays detailed knowledge of all key food handling/food safety procedures.
· Demonstrated track record of workplace achievement in the selection, coaching and development of managerial employees.
· Proven ability to drive customer satisfaction, financial performance, and employee satisfaction.
· Able to oversee and manage subordinate employees and provide direction.
· Experience in a multi-unit operation business, such as restaurant/hospitality or retail.
· Physical Requirements: Ability to move freely throughout restaurants. Ability to communicate via phone including hearing and talking. Ability to perform sedentary work such as computer-based work. Ability to utilize close visual acuity such as for creating and analyzing data/spreadsheets, word documents, and graphic designs.
· Travel: -Ability to drive a motor vehicle and travel to restaurants and other business locations on a daily basis.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
