We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction estimating in civil utilities, with the ability to analyze costs and prepare accurate estimates for various construction projects. This role requires effective communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with clients, contractors, and suppliers while ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and ProCore to create comprehensive estimates and track project costs.
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather data for estimating purposes.
- Monitor project budgets and expenses, providing recommendations for cost control measures as needed.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to each project.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and presentations to communicate estimates effectively to stakeholders.
