Job Description
The Executive Director will be responsible for the daily leadership at a premier senior living community. The Executive Director is responsible for the financial, human resource, and operations management of the community. The objective of the Executive Director is to assure a community is full of compassion, security, and independence for all residents and a stable working environment for the associates charged in taking care of residents.
Functions
- Responsible for all events and activities occurring at the community level, including all operations and delivery of each service to community residents. Interact with residents and families on a regular basis to build relationships and promote resident satisfaction. Ensure that all residents are appropriate for the community and communicate with family members and changes that occur. Document to ensure appropriate communication.
- Recruit, Hire, Train, discipline, terminate, promote, and motivate all associates. Responsible for new associate orientation, pay changes, insurance and benefits management, worker's compensation and associate on-the-job injury, safety, motivation, and associate performance evaluations.
- Report to corporate office positions as necessary for all aspects of community operation. Provide reports as required including the monthly financial and occupancy reports.
- Represent the community and/or supervise the representation of the community to prospective residents, ensuring the highest possible level of occupancy.
- Develop and maintain operational budget with the help of corporate directors.
- Safeguard the community from abuse, damage, or deterioration. Establish proper weekly QA for preventative maintenance.
- Approve, monitor, and submit for payment all expenditures relation to community. Collect revenues in a timely manner and assure accurate and accountable reporting of revenues.
- Hold meetings as needed with staff, directors, residents and residents' families, in individual and or group settings.
- Is on call 24 hours for emergency/ crisis situations. Will work weekends and holiday rotation and staff to assure appropriate coverage on weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- College Degree preferred
- Cat II License- Alabama
- Prior management experience and ability to communicate with residents, associates, and corporate team are essential.
- Must have valid Driver's License Essential Functions
Physical Demands
- Requires moderately heavy physical exertion on a regular and recurring basis.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear.
- Occasional required to lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
