Position Title: Executive Director
Reports To: Founding CEO
Location: Must reside in Salt Lake County- UT or Boise-ID.
(Primarily hybrid, with required travel to program sites.)

Overview: The Executive Director will manage operations across multiple states and implement strategic initiatives. They will oversee program effectiveness, manage day-to-day activities, and serve as the primary operational link between staff and the Founding CEO, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and strategic goals. This position will allow the Founding CEO to focus on overarching organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Implementation: Translate broad organizational strategies into specific objectives and operational plans. Work closely with the CEO to refine and implement strategic initiatives.
- Operational Management: Oversee the management of all program areas, ensuring integration and consistency across different locations and departments. This includes direct supervision of senior staff and indirect oversight of site managers and direct service staff.
- HR Management: Oversee the human resources aspects of the program staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and addressing HR issues in coordination with organizational policies.
- Financial Management: Manage day-to-day financial operations in line with OMB standards, preparing financial reports and budgets for review by the CEO, who retains final approval on all financial decisions.
- Staff Leadership and Development: Lead, motivate, and develop the staff to encourage peak performance and high morale. Oversee staff training and professional development in line with organizational goals.
- Program Evaluation and Reporting: Ensure the delivery of high-quality services while managing for current and future growth. Supervise the preparation of all program evaluation frameworks to assess the strengths of programs and to identify areas for improvement.
- Compliance and Monitoring: Monitor programs to ensure they comply with internal policies and external regulations, providing regular compliance reports to the CEO.
- Strategic Reporting: Provide comprehensive operational reports to the CEO, including program performance metrics and budget utilization, to inform strategic decision-making.
- Stakeholder Relations: Serve as an additional liaison to external partners, including funders, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Enhance and build partnerships that strategically benefit the organization.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Experience: At least 10 years of proven experience in a senior management role within a nonprofit or similar organization.
- Education: A Master's degree or MBA is highly preferred. Previous clinical or juvenile justice experience is ideal.
- Financial Acumen: Mandatory experience in budgeting and financial management, particularly familiarity with Office of Management and Budget (OMB) standards.
- Management Skills: Proven ability to manage and assess multiple programs and departments simultaneously. Strong experience in supervising hybrid and remote teams.
- Reporting Skills: Strong experience in handling and monitoring reporting procedures.
