We provide housekeeping staff to hotels throughout the New York - New Jersey Metro area. We have immediate openings!
We are looking for a Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our team of Room Attendants and Housepersons at our multiple hotels to ensure we provide excellent customer service! If you are a Housekeeping Supervisor with experience, we’d love to hear from you!
- Interpret all departmental policies, procedures, and established standards.
- Reports directly to the Director of operations.
- Collect/prepare the room and floor status report sheets for assigned work areas and assign rooms to Housekeepers as needed.
- Monitor work orders and submit them to Engineering according to hotel procedures.
Follow up on work orders to ensure completion.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings for Room Attendants and Housepersons.
- Train housekeeping employees to achieve the standards of cleanliness in guests’ rooms.
- Make recommendations and follow through on disciplinary action for assigned staff.
- Respond to emergencies using information contained in SDS sheets. Keep SDS sheets current and readily available.
- Provide exceptional guest service for all requests by responding in a timely manner
- Inspect guest rooms, including VIP, vacant, occupied, and check-out rooms, to ensure the standards are being achieved by each employee.
- Inspect public areas, lobby areas, hallways, storage closets, garbage rooms, offices, laundry rooms, lockers rooms, etc., to ensure cleanliness according to standards.
- Assist in conducting monthly and quarterly Housekeeping inventories.
- Assist in maintaining required par level of all linen and guest supplies.
- Balance and clear room status daily/nightly; compare the P.M. housekeeping report with the PMS room status report and resolve any discrepancies.
- Monitor out-of-order, out-of-service, discrepant, and showrooms daily
- Monitor and direct progress of housekeepers and housemen in rooms that are undergoing deep cleaning.
- Participate in department meetings and quality check inspections
- Make sure floor storage areas and closets are kept in an orderly and clean fashion.
- Handle/manage all lost and found items according to procedure.
- Assist in training and development of new hires as needed for the hotel success.
Requirements
- 1 (one) year of Housekeeping Supervisory experience in a hotel
- Knowledge of operational controls, forecasting, and scheduling
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to train and develop team members
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Computer skills; office software’s and knowledge of PMS systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
