Eyewear Consultant

We provide high-quality eyewear and exceptional patient care. We are looking for an Eyewear Consultant to join our team. This role combines customer service, eyewear expertise, and administrative responsibilities to ensure seamless patient experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Fulfill doctor’s prescriptions for eyewear, contact lenses, and retail products.
• Troubleshoot and address patient eyewear issues, completing troubleshooting forms for accurate information flow.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and benefit verifications and analyze patient coverage.
• Discuss eyewear costs with patients, including private pay and insurance options.
• Explain warranties, process returns and perform minor adjustments or repairs to eyewear.
• Communicate with patients via phone, email, and text, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Achieve sales goals and work collaboratively with the team.

 REQUIREMENTS: 

·         Excellent customer service and communication skills.

·         Detail-oriented with experience in eyewear or optical services (preferred).

·         Knowledge of vision insurance and benefit verification.

·         Ability to troubleshoot and resolve eyewear issues.

·         HIPAA compliance knowledge.

·         Basic computer skills and organizational abilities.
