Job Summary
The Corporation is a medical equipment, services and solutions provider to the US Government & Military. We are looking for a Controller who is a dynamic leader with passion for our mission of delivering outstanding results and a commitment to operational excellence. The Controller is responsible for the accounting operations of the company, including production of managerial financial reports, maintenance of a proper system of accounting records, a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of and support the company’s strategic plans.
- Monitor the financial performance of the company.
- Compile and analyze financial reports.
- Advise and communicate financials to senior management and executives on the company’s financial status.
- Prepare annual operating budgets.
- Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
- Execute monthly, quarterly and annual close.
- Provide leadership and support to the accounting department.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local tax & reporting requirements.
- Integrity, handle confidential & complex information and attention to detail.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting.
- Minimum of five (5) years of financial management and leadership, preferably in a small to mid-size company as a controller or manager in public accounting.
- NetSuite Experience (2-4 years) experience in the Government Sales & Contracts and/or DME industry (Preferred).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Ability to create pivot tables and complex excel spread sheets.
- Retail and Medical Insurance accounting/finance experience a plus.
