Fire Alarm Technician 2

We are in search of motivated and dependable Alarm Technicians for service and specialized installation projects for the Columbia SC area. Travel of 23 weeks at a time is normal unless otherwise specified. A company car is provided and you will work nights and day shifts as specified so being comfortable with overnight shifts is a must.

Travel will be 5 6 hours from your home with hotels and gas covered as well as a per diem each day.

Responsibilities :

• Installation troubleshooting and repair of cabling systems and equipment in various technologies
• Running low voltage cabling in commercial buildings including concrete wall drilling and conduit bending
• Completing wiring connections and equipment installations to ensure customer satisfaction and contractual compliance
• Installing repairing or upgrading fire alarm systems in accordance with building plans and electrical layouts
• Mounting sensors at designated locations and ensuring proper wiring and connections
• Testing newly installed systems to verify operational status
• Collaborating with team leads and project managers to ensure timely completion of tasks
• Conducting tests to ensure compliance with relevant codes and legal requirements
• Troubleshooting new system installations to ensure functionality and compliance
