We are looking for someone who is organized, detail oriented, a self starter, works with a sense of urgency and possesses excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee and manage construction-related general ledger accounts, fixed assets, Balance Sheet components including reconciliations, journal entries, machinery and equipment inventories and build appropriate controls, processes, and enhancements.
- Execute the weekly job cost report and work with Project Managers to update work-in-progress reports.
- Ensure all monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines for construction-related accounting and financial reports are properly prepared and analyzed.
- Oversee preparation of monthly variance analysis of actual operating results versus budgeted amounts.
- Drive improvement in business performance through effective cost control, monitoring, and reporting systems with particular emphasis on profitability and cash flow.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Quickbooks Desktop
- Advanced Excel skills required
- A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, conventions, and standards. Organized and ability to read, analyze, and process complex financial statements and documents.
- Excellent communication skills
Construction experience strongly preferred. Must have strong a high level of professional honesty & integrity to handle confidential financial information. Strong proficiency with QuickBooks, Excel and Microsoft Office.
