What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Tradesman position at Confidential?
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Tradesman to join our team. As a Tradesman, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks including repairs, maintenance, and construction work across various trades. The ideal candidate will have experience in multiple areas, such as carpentry, minor plumbing, electrical, and be able to work independently and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and maintenance on residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
- Install, repair, and maintain various systems (minor plumbing, electrical, etc.).
- Read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to complete tasks.
- Inspect structures and systems for defects or damage.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in different trades.
- Ensure that all work is completed according to local codes and regulations.
- Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients on-site.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Assist with sheet rocking and painting.
- Assist with other trades or projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Tradesman or in a related trade (e.g., carpentry, minor plumbing, electrical).
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license (preferred but not required).
