JOB SUMMARY
Accountable for the efficient flow of materials into, thru and out of company facilities by performing, under moderate supervision, tasks such as unloading, checking, verifying, arranging, stocking, and picking materials and equipment. The individual also verifies documentation, prepares, and packs orders. The various tasks are performed within a well-coordinated framework as directed by the area Supervisor and/or Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Follows safety rules, instructions, and guidelines. Complies with safety practices and encourages compliance with safety practices in all activities.
2. At the start of every shift, safety checks and operating status inspections of equipment including engine, brakes, lift controls, battery, and others.
3. Safely operates industrial forklift trucks to move, store products, and perform material handling assignment. Complies with instructions and written and verbal guidelines issued by supervisory and management personnel.
4. On goods received, checks, and counts all items unloaded from trailers, trucks, and other shippers. Checks supplier's count (i.e., packing lists) and promptly reports discrepancies and damages to carrier and to supervisor or manager.
5. Places items in pallets, skids, crates, and packs them in bundles to procure safe handling, transport, and storage. Use equipment appropriate for each type of movement.
6. Keeps count and controls of product moved and reports to supervisor. Safely stocks racks and shelves with incoming products. maintains stocked products clean and neatly arranged.
7. Obtains products from warehouse to fill and prepare orders carefully verifying information and quantities.
8. Places protected materials around load and uses hand or automatic banding and wrapping equipment to secure handling, storage, or delivery to customers.

1. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Wears and uses all safety gear as required at all times.
2. Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Operates warehouse equipment and is exposed to dirt and dust from shelves and products. Job requires standing for long periods but also sitting, reaching high and low items with hands. Employee must manually lift and move up to 50 to 70 lbs. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, 2-way ratio, copy, and fax machines.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Has taken Forklift Operator course(s), initial and refresher as applicable.
2. Knowledge of shipping and receiving operations. Responsible for equipment and vehicles. Must be dependable, reliable, and mature enough to handle equipment safely and responsibly.
3. Good physical conditions.
4. Familiar with 2-way radio and other forms of communication that will assist them in satisfactory completion of job duties.
5. Sufficient English language, basic math, and reading skills.
6. Must be enthusiastic, maintain a positive attitude, be honest, and hardworking.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
