What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grocery Store Director position at Confidential?
We are looking for a results-driven retail Store Director to be responsible for the overall store(s) operations. This individual will need to have a self-starter mindset with experience building a retail store from the ground up. The successful candidate will make key decisions on in-store processes and operations, setting store standards and execution playbooks, in-store merchandising, hiring and onboarding of personnel, executing success criteria, managing store personnel and delivering results while managing P&Ls for the operation.
Responsibilities:
- Leading business from construction > opening > maintenance of store(s).
- Develop business strategies to raise our customer’ pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability
- Manage store P&Ls and performance KPIs to drive continuous improvement and achieve strategic objectives and budgets – e.g., achieve/exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales, revenue and profit budgets, and other defined goals
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
- Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with headquarters and other stakeholders in merchandising, technology, and supply chain to align store operations with our strategic positioning and out target customer's needs.
- Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
- Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths
- Additional store manager duties as needed
Requirements and skills:
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree
- 10 years of retail experience
- Preferred experience opening new retail stores
- Preferred experience managing multiple stores
- Preferred grocery experience
- Proven ability to deliver P L results
- Proven ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships with key organizational stakeholders
- Powerful leading skills and business orientation
- Strong communication, presentation, and influencing capabilities, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
