Responsibilities:
- Assist with the day-to-day administrative tasks of the department.
- Manage and organize patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and patient procedures.
- Answer and direct phone calls, and handle inquiries from patients, staff, and visitors.
- Input and update patient information in the hospital’s electronic health records (EHR) system.
- Maintain accurate and organized filing systems, both electronic and paper-based.
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Provide information and support to patients regarding hospital services and procedures.
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, reports, and other documents.
- Assist with billing and insurance paperwork, ensuring all documentation is complete and submitted on time.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow within the department.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and external parties to facilitate seamless service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting or administrative role is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
