Pacific Plaza Hotels, a growing operator of hotel properties in California and Oregon, now have an exciting opportunity!! We are recruiting for an experienced General Manager at our medium sized Danville, California location. The General Manager will have the support of our leadership team based in Alameda, California.

We are in search of a hands on individual that is sales and operational minded. Must have knowledge of the market area to insure bottom line success, and to have the ability to attract employees, and understand motivational techniques to retain employees.

The ideal candidate will be a "Get Involved" type of person with 3 Star and above General Manager experience. Branded hotel experience will move you to the top. The General Manager will be involved in the area marketing and business associations. Must be of entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to hire, train and lead the team in a positive and forward-thinking manner in order to take the property to the next level. The "GM" must implement guest service initiatives to achieve top scores on the brand survey system and internet survey systems. Direct involvement will be required on sales strategies and Front Desk Attendants sales training. Must be comfortable with budgets and financial reporting. Will be responsible for the successful operation of the Housekeeping and Maintenance departments and its relationship with the front office.

We offer competitive compensation with an annual salary range of $75,000 to $80,000, health and dental, 401K, paid time off, travel benefits, and an industry leading performance bonus program.

Requirements:

-2-5 years experience in similar sized hotel as a general manager. Brand experience a plus.

-Track record improving yield and building RevPar.

-Sales minded in all aspects of the hotel.

-Consistent Leadership and Mentoring Abilities

Business skills:

-Forecasting skills

-Strong budgetary, projections and cost control skills. Payroll and some HR experience required

Scope of this position:

-Position will be responsible for all operations and departments

-Must have experience at properties of similar size and quality

-Will be required to work nights, weekends and holidays when necessary

-Spanish language skills are a plus
