We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources and Safety Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various HR and Safety functions, including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, policy development and implementation, benefits administration, performance management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Facilitate and manage annual performance review processes, including employee evaluations and merit increases.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
- Accurately calculate biweekly payroll.
- Administer employee benefits programs and address inquiries related to benefits.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures that align with business goals.
- Coordinates and participates in disciplinary or termination meetings. Coordinates exit interviews and separation paperwork.
- Investigates industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventative measures.
- Coordinates monthly safety meetings with third-party safety administrator; addresses daily safety concerns as they arise; provides safety documentation when requested.
- Supplies and maintains all required company offered personal protective equipment.
- Completes all safety pre-qualification forms for existing or new customers.
- Maintains all OSHA 300 logs and ensures reporting is being done accurately.
- Manages training schedules for all positions and schedules training when needed.
- Aids in developing annual HR strategic plan, including budgeting for various employee appreciation events.
- Plans and manages various employee appreciation events throughout the year.

Education/Experience
- 3-5 years of Human Resource Management experience required, preferably in manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related discipline preferred
- Experience with safety management a plus
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Other
- This position requires little to no travel.
- This position is a full-time position with regular working hours of Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm daily.
- This position requires no supervisory responsibility
