The ideal candidate will have experience as a do-it-all HR leader in a busy manufacturing environment. In this role, you will use your Human Resource Business Partner expertise to provide leadership and partnership to all levels of the organization both at the site and corporate level. As the face of HR you will be responsible for driving the success of human resource services and initiatives that perpetuate and enhance the culture, vision and values. Results are achieved through intelligent, professional and practical communication, management and leadership. Your major areas of responsibility will be overseeing and driving recruiting, retention, training, compensation, payroll and employee relations initiatives.
You will positively influence, practice and promote the policies and procedures while fostering strong relationships with others in management through accessibility and responsiveness. You will partner with the location and corporate leadership team to determine needs for the location associates ensuring alignment with corporate direction, strategic initiatives and Human Resources best practices. (e.g., talent recruitment development and training; associate engagement and retention; performance management; legal/regulatory compliance; compensation and payroll, safety and benefit policies and practices).
This position requires an individual who will display a high level of organization, professionalism, confidentiality and discretion. This role supports all day-to-day Human Resources responsibilities as the site Human Resources Leader.
- Leading HR Initiatives
- Responsible for timely and accurate HRIS data input including: system maintenance, pay changes, new hires, terminations, benefits, and payroll deduction)
- Partnering with others to recruit and retain talent via various social media channels and our ATS
- Managing all aspects of benefits administration
- Organizing and maintaining employee records
- Working with managers and employees to resolve employee relations issues and providing coaching and counseling
- Managing the on-boarding process for new employees
- Managing Workers' Compensation and Safety Initiatives
- Assuring compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefit laws of regulation
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages the employee on-boarding and off-boarding process, payroll, compensation, benefits and leaves of absence
- Partners with senior leadership to develop and drive business practices, change and HR strategies and initiatives that support business objectives
- Aligns HR policies, practices and systems to support the location's priorities and strategic objectives
- Directs departments to develop and/or provide personnel forecasts to project employment needs
- Volunteers to chair and/or accepts membership to various teams, committees and subcommittees within the organization
- Networks internally and externally to gain insight and provide value to the company, its various departments, as well as within the surrounding community
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to Line Management, Customer Service and Operations (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Investigates and advises management in appropriate resolution of associate relations issues such as: working conditions, disciplinary actions, Safety, Equal Employment, documentation procedures, or other HR related matters as required
- Provides guidance to managers in handling difficult or complex associate relations issues and in resolving conflicts. Advises managers on appropriate disciplinary actions to ensure consistency
- Spearheads the development and rollout of new initiatives
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
- Responsible for administering and monitoring site Safety and OSHA compliance programs and serves as an active participant of the on-site Safety Committee

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field and 5 years in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment required.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement processes or best practices in HR.
- Comprehensive knowledge of administrative procedures to include maintenance and management of personnel files.
- Working knowledge of employment laws to include but not limited to record retention, Title VII, ADA, FLSA, FMLA DOL, EEOC, and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to lead and motivate others and partner with departmental leaders to build consensus.
- UKG Experience preferred
- Certification as a PHR or SPHR preferred
- Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices in the areas of employee attraction, engagement, retention, payroll, change management, and identifying/developing talent
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills with in-depth knowledge of HRIS and ATS systems
- Ability to work hours that support the manufacturing environment

Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
