Job Title: Independent Sales Representative – Apparel
Location: Florida (Remote, with travel required)
Job Overview: We are seeking an energetic and self-driven Independent Sales Representative to join our growing apparel brand. This role offers the opportunity to represent a dynamic and high-quality product line within the apparel industry. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion, exceptional sales skills, and a strong network of contacts in Florida’s retail and wholesale markets. Looking for an Independent Rep with an established book of business in outdoor apparel or fishing apparel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development: Actively generate new business by prospecting potential retail accounts, wholesalers, and other distribution channels across Florida. Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients while identifying new sales opportunities.
- Product Representation: Promote and present our apparel products to potential customers in a professional and compelling manner. Ensure that clients are knowledgeable about product features, benefits, and brand positioning.
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a tailored sales strategy based on market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape. Consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
- Market Research & Feedback: Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor products, and customer preferences. Provide feedback to the management team regarding market insights, customer needs, and potential improvements.
- Sales Reporting & Communication: Maintain regular communication with the company’s sales and marketing teams, providing updates on sales activities, customer feedback, and market conditions. Submit regular sales reports and performance metrics.
- Trade Shows & Events: Attend industry trade shows, events, and customer meetings as required to promote the brand and network with potential buyers.
- Customer Service & Support: Provide excellent after-sales service, including helping resolve customer issues, answering inquiries, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the apparel or fishing industry. Proven track record of meeting sales quotas and growing customer accounts.
- Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with retail buyers and other key stakeholders. Self-motivated, results-driven, and highly organized.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the apparel market, fashion trends, and the retail distribution landscape. Experience with B2B and/or wholesale sales a plus.
- Network: Existing network of contacts within the apparel and fishing industry, especially within Florida, is a plus.
- Travel: Ability to travel locally (within Florida) to meet clients, attend trade shows, and visit retail locations as required.
- Technology: Comfortable using CRM software, email, and other digital tools to track sales activities and manage client relationships.
