IT Manager
We are a specialty manufacturer operating in an industrial environment, producing highly specialized products for niche sectors. We’re looking for an experienced and strategic IT Manager to lead our technology operations, ensuring security, efficiency, and reliability while aligning IT initiatives with business goals. In this role, you’ll oversee critical systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, manage cloud and SaaS solutions, and drive IT governance and cybersecurity compliance. You'll also lead digital transformation efforts and mentor a small but mighty IT team to support our growing manufacturing operations, reporting directly to Executive Leadership. What You’ll Be Doing
Keeping Our Systems Running & Secure
· Oversee our Microsoft Dynamics Business Central ERP and its third-party integrations.
· Manage our SaaS tools, including Microsoft 365, Power BI, Power Automate, and Microsoft Dataverse.
· Ensure the security and functionality of OT and IoT networks in our manufacturing environment.
· Maintain our VoIP system, Microsoft Azure environment, and identity/access management.
· Keep our business-critical applications and systems up and running.
· Balance day-to-day end-user support with strategic projects, ensuring both are effectively addressed in a timely manner.
Driving Security & Compliance
· Ensure we meet key cybersecurity standards like ITAR, CMMC, NIST 800-171, and ISO 27001.
· Maintain and enhance network security to support our manufacturing operations.
· Oversee data security controls and compliance across internal systems.
· Lead IT and cybersecurity training programs for non-IT employees.
Managing Projects & Innovation
· Collaborate with leadership on cross-functional improvement projects.
· Lead IT projects, system upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives.
· Set priorities and manage the team’s workload efficiently.
· Drive IT and cybersecurity awareness programs company wide.
· Travel occasionally is needed to support business operations.
Leading & Growing the Team
· Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT and development professionals.
· Build strong relationships with third-party service providers to keep things running smoothly.
· Report key IT performance insights to executive leadership.
· Manage the IT budget, ensuring smart and cost-effective technology investments.
· Establish IT policies, governance, and performance metrics to keep everything on track.
What You Bring to the Table
· A bachelor’s degree in IT Management, Computer Science, or equivalent direct experience.
· 5 years of IT experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
· 5 years of leadership experience, guiding and developing IT teams.
· Direct experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in manufacturing—this one’s a must!
· Familiarity with compliance standards like ITAR, EAR, CMMC, and NIST is a big plus.
· A solid understanding of both Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) solution.
