Inside Sales and Purchasing Agent
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive Inside Sales and Purchasing Agent to join our team. This role involves managing the sales process from inquiry to delivery, building strong customer relationships, and handling purchasing activities to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining cost-efficient purchasing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide pricing and availability.
- Prepare and follow up on sales orders and purchase orders.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., production, logistics) to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Track and report sales metrics, forecasts, and trends to management.
- Source and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best terms for pricing, delivery, and quality.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain vendor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
- Address and resolve supplier issues such as delays and discrepancies.
- Develop inventory controls to identify demands.
- Proven experience in sales, purchasing, or a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of supply chain logistics and inventory management principles.
