Responsibilities
- Manage the intake process for new patients, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and reviewed.
- Answer incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy, addressing patient inquiries and scheduling appointments.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Meditech and Epic to document patient information accurately.
- Review documentation for completeness and compliance with clinic standards.
- Collaborate with front desk staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication within the clinic.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Assist in training new staff on intake procedures and systems used within the clinic.
Skills
- Strong phone etiquette to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Familiarity with dental terminology to facilitate accurate communication regarding patient needs.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly Meditech and Epic.
- Experience in a clinical or front desk environment is preferred.
