Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Specialist to manage and maintain inventory accuracy in our warehouse. This role involves overseeing stock levels and ensuring inventory data aligns with physical counts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for organization and experience in inventory systems, helping streamline operations to ensure customers receive their books on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management software (WMS).
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
- Collaborate with the receiving team to ensure all incoming goods are accurately logged and stored.
- Develop and implement efficient inventory control systems to minimize loss and overstock.
- Analyze inventory trends to recommend restocking or reduction strategies.
- Assist in organizing the warehouse layout for optimal inventory storage and retrieval.
- Communicate with suppliers to address stock-related issues, such as shortages or damaged goods.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP, Microsoft Dynamic 365 Business Central ).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform accurate data entry.
- Proficient with warehouse operations and logistics.
- Physical ability to lift and move inventory as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of supply chain principles.
- Experience with barcode or RFID scanning systems.
- Strong communication skills to communicate with teams and suppliers as needed.
