As an Inventory Specialist, you will play a key role in managing inventory levels and ensuring the efficient flow of products. This position is vital to our commitment to excellence and supports our mission of delivering high-quality solutions to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Works to determine proper inventory levels. Understand the trends in production to determine the best quantities of materials to order and to keep on hand.
- Analyze inventory inaccuracies to determine the cause and take steps to prevent inaccuracies in the future.
- Ensure delivery commitments are honored through continuous follow-up regarding order status,
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate best pricing regularly for materials.
- Identify any inventory deficiencies, making correctional recommendations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor key functions related to inventory transactions to assure that they are accurate and timely.
- Create purchase orders, process receipts, and maintain necessary paper trail for orders placed.
- Work environment will be split between office and production floor.
- Implement category management strategies to enhance product availability.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' hands on experience with purchasing and inventory in a manufacturing environment required.
- Excellent organization and planning skills
- Sense of urgency is a must
- Strong communication skills
- Strong math skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Proven experience in inventory control or management roles.
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in relevant software tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and proactive mindset.
