**Overview:**
A Junior Electrical Project Manager plays a vital role in overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical projects. The position often involves supporting senior project managers and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
**Responsibilities:**
1. Project Coordination:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and managing electrical construction projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders including engineers, contractors, and clients.
- Assist in setting project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
2. Technical Support:
- Work with design teams to review electrical plans, ensuring they meet project requirements.
- Monitor the progress of the project to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
- Conduct site visits to oversee installation and troubleshoot any issues.
3. Budget and Cost Management:
- Track project costs and assist in ensuring that the project stays within budget.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing project budgets and financial forecasts.
- Assist with processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare project reports, update schedules, and maintain project documentation.
- Document and address any changes in project scope.
- Communicate project progress and challenges to senior management.
5. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure that all electrical work complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Promote adherence to health and safety regulations on project sites.
- Assist with site inspections and audits.
6. Team Collaboration:
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that all project tasks are completed as scheduled.
- Assist in resolving conflicts that may arise among team members or with external stakeholders.
7. Client Communication:
- Serve as a point of contact for clients and provide regular updates on project status.
- Address client concerns and ensure client satisfaction.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in electrical construction, engineering, or project management.
- Familiarity with Timberline (Sage 300), preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and construction processes.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and construction blueprints.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
- Project Management certification (PMP) or willingness to obtain is a plus.
