Our Firm is looking for an experienced Legal Assistant with a background in Family Law to provide attorneys with administrative and clerical support. The ideal candidate will be motivated, have an excellent work ethic, and be extremely organized and detail oriented.

The Legal Assistant will support the attorneys to enhance the office’s effectiveness by handling the following responsibilities:
- Manage the law office calendar by scheduling and monitoring deadlines
- Assist with screening and directing incoming calls
- Communicate with potential new clients
- Timely and accurate update of client systems
- Professionally and effectively communicate with clients, law offices, and courts, both verbally and electronically
- Create, organize and maintain files, both hard copies and electronic files
- Make copies, scan documents and prepare outgoing mail packages
- Format and process key legal documents
- File documents on JEDS
- Assist with general office duties: ordering office and kitchen supplies, dealing with building management, etc.
- Contribute to the team by diligently and thoroughly completing assigned tasks, duties, and projects
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of legal administrative assistant experience in a Law Firm required; Family Law experience a plus
- College degree preferred
- Familiarity with New Jersey e-courts
- Satisfactory knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a law office
- Strong work ethic and ability as a self-starter
- Computer literacy/proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments while consistently delivering excellent, quality work
- Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be willing and able to work in a fast-paced office setting

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
