Duties:
- Handle files from file to trial, while negotiating with insurance company defense lawyers and adjusters
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Assist with case management and organization
- Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, and depositions
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client communication
- Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes
- Review and analyze legal documents, contracts, and agreements
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar association
- Strong research and writing skills
- Experience in legal administrative work
- Proficiency in using legal research databases such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in litigation or a related field
- Familiarity with electronic discovery software and document management systems
