Position Overview
As a Logistics Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless and cost-effective movement of goods and materials through our supply chain. Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management: Inspire and lead terminal personnel, including supervisors, warehouse staff, and administrative teams.
- Operational Supervision: Oversee all terminal activities, including inventory management, loading/unloading procedures, and equipment maintenance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and providing timely updates.
- Resource Optimization: Efficiently manage labor, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Budget & Cost Management: Monitor operational expenses and implement strategies to achieve financial targets.
- Performance Reporting: Provide detailed reports on key performance indicators and operational efficiency to senior management.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for streamlining operations and implement best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure full compliance with environmental, safety, and transportation laws.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of five years of experience in logistics or terminal management.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software.
- Comprehensive understanding of logistics operations and industry regulations.
- Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
