What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineering Manager position at Confidential?
ISO 9001:2015 Metal fabrication plant using Amada turret presses, Bystonic lasers, Amada brake presses, Miller welding equipment.
Supervise the staff of 5 in a professional manufacturing environment.
Evaluate and build Router and BOM requirements for design and production based on customer requirements and expectations.
Establish production rates, number of employees required, equipment, tooling, and sequences needed to complete jobs.
Making sure required tooling and equipment are available to produce product. If not available, ability to factor new tooling and equipment cost in the budget process.
Directs the interpretation of process procedures, inspection procedures, specifications, and standards to ensure product integrity and standards are met.
Works with QC Manager relating to the preparation of internal quality plans that will ensure product integrity.
Coordinates the communication with customers ensuring requirements on new and existing products.
Oversees and direct the implementation of new or establish programs, for new or current products, that improve quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost reduction targets, by working with manufacturing departments and customers.
Administers direct supervisory responsibility for engineering personnel, including but not limited to, hiring, training, performance evaluation, setting work schedules, informing of policies procedures, etc. ensuring qualified personnel.
Provides Engineering support to Sales, Production, Quality, and other departments as needed.
Assist in the development of documenting engineering standards and job processing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or related engineering discipline Strong Leadership /Management skills with 10 years’ experience
Strong skills in Sheet Metal Fabrication and Welding knowledge.
Experience in manufacturing environments using turret presses, laser cutting, machining, welding, fabrication.
Proficient in Cad/Cam/Solidworks.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve part manufacturability problems
Ability to manage multiple products and tasks as required to meet demanding customer deadlines and requirements
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Pay: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
