Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Marina Manager to oversee the daily operations and management of our marina facility. This role requires a strong background in marine operations, customer service, and team leadership. The Marina Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the marina, including managing staff, maintaining facilities, and providing exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the marina to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Manage and supervise marina staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure optimal performance.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular inspections of the marina to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational standards are met.
- Oversee and manage maintenance and repair work to ensure that marina facilities and equipment are in top condition.
- Submit regular reports to the Marina Office on operational performance, issues, and improvements.
- Manage inventory and ordering of supplies for marina services and pool chemicals.
- Train, develop, and motivate marina staff to maintain high performance and improve skills.
- Ensure compliance with marina operations and regulations.
- Operate marina equipment including hoists, forklifts, travel lifts, and conolifts.
- Oversee the transportation and relocation of boats within the marina, including moving boats into or out of storage buildings.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of marina operations, boating, and marine regulations.
- Proven experience in marina management or a similar role in the marine industry.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing staff.
- Ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Familiarity with operating marina equipment such as hoists, forklifts, and travel lifts.
- Knowledge of boat storage, transportation, and maintenance.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and ensuring operational efficiency.
- Able to work during peak season weekends and extended hours
- Able to work outside in various weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with marina management software and systems.
- Certifications related to marine operations, safety, or equipment operation (e.g., forklift certification, boating safety certification).
