What are the responsibilities and job description for the Men's Designer position at Confidential?
A leading active brand, located in the garment district of NYC is looking for a Designer for Men’s Activewear.
Responsibilities :
- Research and identify trend, color, and print direction each season
- Work through all stages of product development from proto through final production
- Communicate with overseas factories to manage all deadlines within Development / Production Calendar
- Source incoming swatches / trims from the factories for seasonal fabric development
- Review incoming samples to present at customer meetings; making sure submits are matching to standard and licensing agreement
- Maintain an organized design space (samples, files, visual CADs etc.) so that information is readily accessible to teammates
- Maintain samples in design showroom
- Prepare color cards for internal and external use
- Assist in preparing pitch decks, color CADs, and samples for client presentations as needed
- Manage Hangtag and Packaging requests to update artwork for production orders
- Create packaging ideas for special projects, giftables, 2-packs, etc.
