What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Instructor position at Confidential?
Faith based nursing school is seeking to hire a didactic nursing instructor and clinical instructor for our hybrid LPN-RN evening program. We are seeking educators who are passionate about the field of nursing, and want to give back by teaching future nurses. We are seeking:
1. A candidate to teach Monday or Wednesday online synchronous didactic coursework 5p-10:30p via Zoom.
2. A clinical instructor for Friday evenings 5p-10:30p, and Saturday or Sunday availability 7a-5p. Must have experience in critical care, med surg, pediatrics, OB, or Psych. Serious candidates only who can commit to teaching the full semester.
Responsible for overseeing students while in the classroom and/or while on clinical. Responsibilities include: 1. direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students. 2. Provide feedback on performance including areas of improvement to help develop professional growth. 3. Has knowledge of clinical practices and procedure. 4. Communicate with Director regarding student and/or clinical issues. 5. Completes grading of assignments, student evaluations, and faculty paperwork in a timely fashion. 6. Mentor and tutor students as needed. 7. Attends faculty meetings and is committed to professional development. 8. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and conducts oneself in a professional manner. 9. Foster student growth according to standards set forth by our values, mission, and philosophy.
Teaching experience is required as well as a MSN to teach didactic courses, or BSN for clinical instructor. All clinical sites are located within the Chattanooga area and are located within 15-35 minutes from the school. All positions are paid hourly and commensurate with teaching experience. Background check and drug screening required, unencumbered TN RN license or compact license.
You must be a motivated team player, self directed, organized, have excellent communication and written skills, have leadership skills and the ability to work with adult learners.
