What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at Confidential?
A well-established hotel brand in the Atlanta area is currently seeing an in-house paralegal.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Handling form discovery requests, answering subpoenas and other litigation-related paperwork, and follow-up
• Placing legal holds on files as requested
• Handling service of process requests upon employees
• Managing and calendaring litigation (working with outside counsel) including employee issues, guest injury (premises liability), and landlord-tenant claims in certain jurisdictions
• Basic support for contracts and real estate matters
• Assisting customer service manager with complaints from customer service and on occasion state and local agencies
• Acting as a liaison between the company and the insurance adjuster for Worker’s Compensation claims
• Basic administrative responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
• Experience of 2 – 3 years with litigation support, in-house preferred
• Highly responsive and professional
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong administrative and organizational skills
• Prior experience working with employment issues, worker’s compensation, or landlord-tenant litigation is a plus
• A notary license is a plus
• Paralegal certificate from an accredited school
