What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Commercial Evening Cleaner position at Confidential?
We are looking for a Day Porter to take care of our School kindergarten to 8th-grade school facilities by carrying out cleaning duties. The goal is to keep our location in a clean and orderly condition. This position's hours are Monday to Friday, 11 am - 3 pm
Responsibilities
- Clean, stock, and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, maintaining glass appearance, emptying trash, etc)
- .Perform and document routine inspections and provide necessary feedback
- Carry out everyday cleaning tasks and special projects
- Keeping in communication with facilities/management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Cooperate with the rest of the staff, offering help when needed
Skills
- Proven working experience as a cleaner
- Ability to handle cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Customer Service experience
- Excellent communication/listening skills
Day Porter's expectations include constant communication with the facilities and account manager to ensure current procedures are being met; applicants take care of work orders from the school Facilities team, tidy up the school, clean bathrooms, and clean up spills. Must pass a pre-employment background check, state, local, and Megans Law. Must Pass a drug test
Qualifications
- Cleaning, janitorial, or custodial experience
- Familiarity with floor care and commercial cleaning practices
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks
- Previous experience in customer service roles
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
Job Type: Part-time
