Job Description :
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The PTA will work closely with a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to provide high-quality care to patients in their homes throughout Palm Beach County. This role offers flexibility and is ideal for professionals seeking supplemental income or a work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide physical therapy treatments to patients in accordance with the plan of care developed by the supervising PT.
- Assist patients in regaining strength, mobility, and independence through prescribed therapeutic exercises and activities.
- Document patient progress, treatments, and any changes in condition in a timely and accurate manner to comply with Medicare guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with the supervising PT, patients, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team regarding patient status and treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and strategies for maintaining physical function.
- Ensure compliance with all Medicare and state regulations, as well as agency policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate approach while delivering patient care.
