Established Nashville area metal forming manufacturing company is searching for a Planning and Inventory Management professional to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the planning process and strive to effectively balance working capital with material availability to meet customer demand, improve service, and optimize production stability and cost to the business.
This is a salaried overtime exempt position with salary range of $60,000-$80,000 DOE and qualifications. This is not a hybrid or remote position. This position has an in person schedule of Monday through Friday with flexibility as required to meet business demands. This location is located in Northwest Nashville.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage material requirements planning for multiple manufacturing sites and multiple products.
- Monitor sales activity and sales change orders and develop production plans that meet customer’s expectations.
- Execute / monitor MRP calculations.
- Drive maximum utilization of the ERP system for all MRP functions and inventory control.
- Create and manage electronic Bills of Material, Production Orders, and Routings.
- Interface with the Manufacturing and Quality groups to resolve material availability and production tracking issues on a real time basis.
- Monitor the "MRP to consumption" flow of materials from receipt to issuance; including release testing and material disposition.
- Coordinate production activities and campaign schedules with Manufacturing and assist with assigned scenario planning activities.
- Maintain all Planning related ERP system Master Data.
- Develop and report appropriate Planning related metrics to inform the organization and drive continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, in a related field (e.g. Supply Chain, Business, or Technical field) or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5 years direct materials planning experience including MRP/ERP.
- APICS, CPM, CPIM, or related professional certification preferred.
- Experience mapping and designing business processes is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Experience/knowledge of MRP required.
- Highly analytical and organized with strong critical thinking skills.
- Broad understanding of end-to-end supply chain functions.
- Results oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
- Continuous improvement mindset with ability to challenge the status quo.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Professional with excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills and the ability to influence and lead cross-functional collaboration initiatives.
